Regenerative Design Round Table

Join Prof. Josh Byrne, Hon. Dr. Brad Pettitt MLC, and Hassell's Sustainable Design Leader Karla Fox-Reynolds for a conversation about how Perth can transition to become a net zero city and the role regenerative design can play.

What kind of communities can we build if low-carbon design is at the heart of our thinking? What if we demote the private car and place people, public transport, and cycling at the top? Can we get our city powered entirely by wind and sun? Are there ways to make buildings more efficient and comfortable, and how can we embed nature and greening back into cities to make them cooler?

The WA McGowan Government has committed to legislating net zero by 2050 and introducing five-year interim targets. There is also commitment to slash public sector emissions by 80% by the end of the decade. How does the design industry support this journey?
